Obituary of Walter J. Leskosky

LESKOSKY - Walter J. "Kutsy," 85, of Ebensburg, died March 12, 2007, at his home. Born July 20, 1921, in Revloc, son of John and Florence (Petrosky) Leskosky. Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife, the former Ann Louise Paul; sisters, Katie, and husband, John McHugh; Sadie, and husband, John Makosky; Sophie, and husband, John Lenhart; brother, Henry; and niece, Cynthia. Survived by beloved daughter, Darnell Hodge, Ebensburg; grandsons, Douglas, and wife, Kimberly, and Gregory Scott, and wife, Cherly, both of North Carolina; and great-granddaughter, Delana Hodge, North Carolina. Brother of Joseph, and wife, Shirley, Revloc, and nieces, Debbie, Chris and Karen. Walter will be missed by his best friend, his beloved dog Rocky, that protected him and stayed by his side until he passed. Walter was known for his days as custodian at the former Mylo School, Ebensburg. Kutsy cooked plenty a meal for his VFW buddies and guys going to camp. Best known for his Polish dishes of pigs in the blanket and pigs feet. He loved his yard work and his tractor. Formerly employed at Bethlehem Mine #32, Revloc. Army veteran of the Army Aviation Division in World War II. Life member of VFW Post 4963, Ebensburg. Walter looked forward to the visits by Monsignor Arnold Gaus. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Wednesday evening. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
