Obituary of Justin Wayne Peles

PELES – Justin Wayne, 41, Nashville, TN, formerly of Northern Cambria area, passed away September 29, 2020. Born in Altoona, the son of the late John Wayne Peles and Kathy Senko-Smith.  Proceeded in death by maternal & paternal grandparents, and step-father Rick Smith, Sr. Survived by sons, Dalton and J.R; brothers, Rick Smith, Jr., David Smith, and Joshua Bitter; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. Also survived by longtime companion, Rachel Church. Justin was a proud Army veteran who struggled with PTSD since his return from combat in Iraq & Afghanistan. He greatly loved his children, including those whom he “adopted” including Gavin and Knox, as well as his extended family, to whom he will be sadly missed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton. Services in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Donations in Justin’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
