Obituary of Frank S. Margic Sr.

MARGIC - Frank S. “Dude" Sr., 78, of Ebensburg, passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born October 21, 1942 in Johnstown, the son of the late Frank C. and Catherine (Fabina) Margic.  Preceded in death by daughter Joyce Margic-Keith; son Frank S. "Frankie" Margic, Jr., infant brother Charles, brothers:  Joseph, John, Fred, and Steven Margic and sister Janet Ochenrider.  Survived by wife Margaret (Burrows) Margic to whom he was married 56 years;  daughter Courtney (Brent) Schmidt, Johnstown and grandson Brent Schmidt.  Also survived by sisters and brother:  Mary (Joseph) Peruso, Johnstown;  Frances (Sherman) Warner, New Mexico;  Catherine Edwards, Central City;  Michael Margic, Johnstown; Rosemary (Vincent) Rovansek, Nashville, TN;  Louise (John) Warner, Connecticut;  Ruth Ann Wos, Florida;  sister-in-law Eileen Lehman, nephew, Larry Lehman, numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends: neighbor Peg Buchan, and longtime workmate Ray Mack.  Frank was the most generous, caring person.  He would give you the shirt off his back.  He loved his family and enjoyed buying and selling cars.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no viewing.  A Memorial Service/Burial is planned for the spring at Forest Lawn Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
