HELSEL – Shirley M. (Davis), 76, of Geistown, formerly of Vinco, went to be with her Lord on May 3, 2019. Born August 9, 1942 in Somerset, daughter of the late Willard and Mary (Worman) Davis. Preceded in death by sister, Nancy L. Wozniak; brothers in law and sisters in law, Wayne and Theda Helsel; Jay and Dorothy Helsel; Bob and Barbara Selders; Helmer Glittenberg; Phil and Dolores Peterson. Survived by husband, Galen W., to whom she was married for 51 years; brother in law, Stanley “Stush” Wozniak; sister in law, Marjorie Glittenberg; as well as several nieces and nephews. Attended Faith Chapel, Geistown. A special thank you to Windber Hospice and all the nurses; and Ginger Taylor, for their loving care of Shirley. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday at Faith Chapel, Geistown, Pastor Andrew Taylor, officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to Faith Chapel, 730 Sunberry St., Johnstown, PA 15904. Arrangements in care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
