HOOVER – Thomas B., 89, of Nanty Glo, went to join his beloved wife, Jan. 7, 2019. Born Oct. 8, 1929 in Spangler, son of the late Edwin and Ellen (Luther) Hoover. Preceded in death by wife, Jacqueline; brothers, Devon, James and Charles; and sisters, Marjorie, Janet and Eleanor. Survived by children, Thomas (Millie) Hoover; Jack (Chrissy) Hoover; Jill Werner; Dan (Robin) Hoover; Mary (Brian) Jones; and Jeff (Cyndi) Hoover. Also survived by grandchildren, Michael, Jamie, Deanna, Jackie, Sarah, Jordan, Danica, Corey, Jenna and London; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Seth, Jameson and Aaron. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Retired from Ebensburg Center. US Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery, Northern Cambria. Military rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo.
