MICHAELS - Hazel Edna (Garver), 84, of Nanty Glo, passed away on August 23, 2005 in Akron, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 8, 1920 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Rager) Garver. Preceded in death by husband Walter Leroy Michaels and sisters Beatrice Boring and Violet Mack; and brothers Robert Garver, Charles, Donald & Harold Fetzer. Survived by daughters Patricia (Floyd) Nissel, Ohio; Delores (John) Sala, Ohio; Beverly (John) Matejovich, Nebraska; Karen (Robert) McCalla, Tennesee; Sharon (Dennis) Hallman, Colorado; Judith (Robert) Pekala, Del-aware; and Cindy (Thaddeus) Zibura, Johnstown. 12 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren. Brothers Clyde, Dean & Will Fetzer and sisters Rita McGuire and Leona Stevens. Member of Nanty Glo Church of the Nazarene. Retired aide for Ebensburg Center with 14 years of service. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am, the Rev. C. Edward Albert, officiating. Interment UB Cemetery Belsano. In lieu of flowers donations in Hazel's memory may be made to the Nanty Glo Church of the Nazarene.
