DYSON - Rodger W., 71 of Wise Terrace, Ebensburg and formerly of Ohio, passed away November 28, 2014 at Maple Winds Care Center in Portage. Born November 28, 1943 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, son of the late John W. and Hilda Elizabeth (Nealen) Dyson. Preceded in death by brother John J. Dyson. Survived by children: Rodger W. Bill (Daphne) Dyson, Jr, of Elyria, Ohio; Jeff Dyson, Northridge, Ohio; Craig Dyson, Olmsted, Ohio; Amanda (Steve) Balough, Louisville, Ohio and 15 grandchildren. Brother of Marjorie Dyson, Mundy s Corner; Curtis J. (Susan) Dyson, Vermilion, Ohio; and Gloria (Rick) Greene, Mundys Corner and numerous nieces and nephews. Rodger was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. He retired in 1965 from Transcore where he had served 40 years as a technician. An Air Force veteran having served in the early 1960s. Rodger enjoyed cruises and traveling. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery.
