Obituary of Daniel Scott Kochara

KOCHARA - Daniel Scott, 17, of Vinco, went to be with the Lord Dec. 30, 2014. Born Sept. 22, 1997 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by great grandparents; maternal step grandfather, Thomas Bishop; paternal grandfather, Dink Kochara. Survived by maternal grandmother, Nancy Bishop; maternal grandfather and step grandmother Daniel and Evelyn Klegg; paternal grandmother, LeeAnn Kochara; mother and step father, Jennifer and Mark Croft; father and step mother, Scott and Billie Kochara; brother, Ryan; sister, Tori; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as his beloved pets, Scooby, Gus, Rocco and Ozzy. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Attended Central Cambria High School, where he was involved in football, weightlifting, swimming, track & field and chorus. An avid hunter, fisherman and trap shooter. He enjoyed snowmobiling and quad riding; and loved to read. Dan was also an avid history buff. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko, VF, celebrant. Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery, Carrolltown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory may be made to Central Cambria Football Boosters and /or Central Cambria Swim Team.
