SZEKERESH - Albert G., 94, of Mundys Corner, went to be with the Lord May 2, 2015. Born Sept. 3, 1920 in Twin Rocks, son of the late John and Anna (Pal) Szekeresh. Preceded in death by brothers, Steve, John, Martin and Michael; and sisters, Mary, Margaret and Elizabeth. Survived by wife of 66 years, the former Renie Tucker; and children, Kathleen (Albert) Gailey; Michelle (Dennis) Newcomer; Janice (Dale) Bradley; Daniel (Suzanne) Szekeresh; and Charlene (Scott) Greasamar. 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Anna Babinsak; as well as his beloved pets, Tippy, Toby and Tyler. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. WW II Army veteran. Devoted blood donor of 53 gallons. Hosted foreign exchange students for many years. Master Stone Mason for many years. Former insurance agent with American General. Former owner of The Big Stone Inn, Mundys Corner. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko, celebrant. Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale area veterans ritual team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert s memory may be made to St. John Vianney Church Building Fund.
