LEIDY –Barbara A., 79, of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord Jan. 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 21, 1939 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Robert Francis and Vivian Geraldine (Hutchinson) Garver. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Cynthia; and mother and father in law, Theodore and Alverda Leidy. Survived by husband, Ronald, of 59 years; children, Sherry Lynn (Jim) Rummell; Randy (Stephanie) Leidy; and Karen Leidy. 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Donna Clouser; and brothers, Robert, Bernard and Donald Garver. Member of Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, where she was Sunday School teacher, deaconess and superintendent. Head of Nanty Glo Borough Beautification Committee for many years. Retired from Bestform with 32 years of service. She will be sadly missed by her family, church family, friends and relatives. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Pastor Bud Vogel, officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb’s memory may be made to Windber Hospice.
