MINARCHICK – Victor S. “Vic”, 85, of Jackson Twp., passed away Feb. 21, 2013 at home. Born Jan. 21, 1928 in Philipsburg, son of the late Victor and Ann (Kadash) Minarchick. Preceded in death by brother, John; and sisters, Ann and Betty. Survived by wife, the former Evelyn Peach, and daughters, Vickie; Maryellen (Dan) Ditchcreek; and Stephanie (Randy) Leidy. Grandchildren, Tiffany and Brenton T. Also survived by brother, Joe; and sisters, Marie, Sue, Dorothy and Joanne. Served in Merchant Marines and Army. Member Nanty Glo VFW. Retired welder from Bethlehem Mines. Vic loved hunting, fishing, tending to his garden and beautiful flowers. His Sunday meals of homemade soup and noodles will be missed. Friends will be received from 10a.m. until time of funeral service at 11a.m.on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Deacon Thomas Buige, officiating. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vic’s memory may be made to Windber Hospice. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale area veterans organizations.
