MADILL - Nellie Nan , (Peddicord), 97, of Ebensburg, formerly of Strongstown, died September 27, 2015 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born March 12, 1918 in Buffington Twp., Indiana Co., daughter of the late Harry Bert and Cora (Bennett) Peddicord. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Budd Madill; daughter, Nancy (Madill) Zebrun; infant son; sister, Margaret; and brothers, Harry and William Peddicord. Survived by daughter, Donna and husband, Thomas Wray, Mineral Point; Son in law, Walter and wife, Barb Zebrun, Newburg, IN.; Five grandchildren, Richard and wife, Casandra Wray, Cresson; Melinda (Wray) and husband, Erin Handgen, Ft. Collins, CO.; William and wife, Leanne Wray, Bellmawr, NJ.; Jennifer (Zebrun) and husband, Wade Burrows, Zionsville, IN.; Mitchell and wife, Maclynn Zebrun, Floyds Knobs, IN. Nine great grandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Sister Evangelista, Dory, Charlotte, Marilyn and Shirley. A 1936 graduate of Pine Twp. High School. Retired cafeteria manager of United School District and Blacklick Valley School District. Nan enjoyed quilting, line dancing, bingo; and her winters in Florida. Member of Belsano United Methodist Church. Member of the Purple Passions Red Hat Society, Ebensburg Senior Center, and Jackson Twp. Senior Center. Past President of Southwestern School Foods Assoc. and past member of President s Council of School Foods and Nutrition. Charter member of the Historical and Homecoming Assoc. of Strongstown, Indiana County. Co-owner of Madill Coach Sales. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday Oct. 9 and from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11a.m. on Saturday Oct. 10 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Nanty Glo, Pastor Bill Warrick and the Rev. Eugene Barrett, officiating. Interment, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. A special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Rebekah Manor and Conemaugh Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made to Belsano United Methodist Church.
