GOUGHNOUR - Charles P. "Chuck" Sr., 74, of Jackson Township, passed away
Aug. 19, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 27, 1931, in Nanty
Glo, son of the late Morgan and Ethel (Tyson) Goughnour. Survived by
wife of 54 years, Ada (Rose); children, Kathryn (James) Miller, Jackson
Township, and Charles (Kathleen Dorofey), E. Conemaugh Borough;
grandchildren, Amy, Kathryn and Dana Schmidt, and David and Michael
Goughnour; and great-grandsons, Luka and Alex Goughnour. Brother of
Mildred (Anthony) Vitko, Raymond (Elsie), Robert (Bonnie) and Jack
(Lucy), and his beloved dog, Minnie. Member of Ebensburg Evangelical
Bible Church. Korean War Army veteran. Member of Portage American
Legion. Chuck enjoyed gardening and always had time for and loved his
family, grandkids and friends. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral
service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery
officiating. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations in Chuck's memory may be made to his family.
