YINGLING - John Edgar "Ed," 95, Presbyterian Home, Johnstown, passed away May 6, 2005. Born Oct. 7, 1909, in Lilly, son of the late Martin L. and Christina (Eger) Yingling. Preceded in death by wife, Mary A. (Monahan) Yingling; brothers, Lawrence, Julius, Elmer F., Leo, Arthur and Martin; and sisters, Rita, Anna, Ida, Faith, Charity, Sr. St. Martin and Sr. M. Eymard. Survived by daughter, Alicia M. Yingling of Johnstown; sisters, Hope McAllister of Ebensburg and Dolores Daniels of Colorado; and sister-in-law, Sr. Marie Helene Monahan, SSJ, of Baden, Pa. Retired painter from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Knights of Columbus Ebensburg Council and a member of Lodge 681, LOOM, Ebensburg. Ed loved bowling, hunting and playing cards. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery. Knights of Columbus memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
