MULHOLLEN - Orange L. "Jim," 85, passed away on May 15, 2005, at his home at 2307 James Buchanan Drive, Elizabethtown, Pa. Born in Allemansville, Pa., he was the son of the late Perry S. and Mary E. Korman Mulhollen. Jim graduated from Reade Township High School in 1938, and following his graduation, worked for his father in his carpentry business. In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served with the 501st Squadron in the South Pacific Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. After his discharge from the service, he attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1949 with a bachelor's of science degree in forestry. Mr. Mulhollen worked for the Pa. Department of Forests & Waters in the Ebensburg area, Gallitzin District. In 1966, he started his own business as a consulting forester and licensed surveyor. He was awarded a plaque for being a forest fire warden for the state for 50 years, and a certificate from the Society of American Foresters for being a 50 year member. Mr. Walter R. Rossman presented an award to him at the Masonic Health Care Center in October 2003 for his assistance to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. A member of the United Methodist Church of Ebensburg, he also belonged to Summit Lodge F&AM of Ebensburg, Consistory, and Jaffa Shrine of Altoona. Survivors include his wife, Betty June (Gonder) Mulhollen, of Elizabethtown, and three daughters: Cindy L. (Michael B.) Musser, Ventura, Calif.; Laureen M. (Michael B.) Brown, Burlington, N.C.; and Dr. Annalisa M. (David M.) Parks, Arlington, Va. Also surviving are grandchildren, Nicole L. and Trevor N. Brown and Madeline M. and Micah J. Parks, and a sister-in-law, Arlene A. (Bare) Mulhollen, Akron, Ohio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at the Askew-Houser Funeral Home Inc., 300 N. Julian St., Ebensburg, Pa., on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in West Green Tree Brethren Cemetery, Elizabethtown, Pa., on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 3:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Askew-Houser Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be conducted by Summit Lodge F&AM of Ebensburg on Friday evening at 7 p.m. Contributions may be made in his memory to Masonic Learning Center for Dyslexia, P.O.
