JUBA - John "Buzz," 85, Patton, formerly of Colver, died June 20, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 12, 1920, in Vintondale, son of Michael and Anna (Skibo) Juba. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, George Polosky; brothers, Steve, George, Harry and Walter Juba; and sister, Mary Heresco. Survived by wife, Anna (Mikula) Juba, whom he married March 5, 1944; children, Linda (Ken) Thomas, Westover; John R. (Corrie) Juba, Twinsburg, Ohio; and Darlene (Dan) Weakland, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Tracy and Derek Thomas and Scott and April (Weakland) Weiland; stepsister, Margaret Polosky, Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Served with the Army during World War II, and retired from Patton Aerie 1244 FOE and Laurel Crest Manor. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Patton, where he served as president for over 50 years; Patton Aerie 1244 FOE; John White VFW Post 779; Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614; and the Slovak Club. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, where Parastas will be held at 6 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Father David Lewis. Committal, church cemetery. Military rite will be accorded by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614. www.stevensfh.com.
