DUMAN - Stanton Leo, 86, Ebensburg, died June 24, 2005, at UPMC Lee Regional. Born June 23, 1919, in Barr Township, son of the late Walter and Aline (Kirsch) Duman. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lucille Theresa (Lieb), and children, Dr. John "Jack," and wife, Priscilla (Landis), Niles, Mich.; Attorney Thomas, and wife, Susan (Ball), Murrysville; Susan, and husband, John "Cuz" Lydic, Selinsgrove; Dr. Ronald, and wife, Dr. Catherine (Heninger), Guilford, Conn.; Mary Jo, and husband, Dr. James Takacs, and Janet, and husband, Jeff Michkofsky, both of Ebensburg; and Michael, and wife, Christina (Kisic), Poquoson, Va. Stanton also is survived by brothers and sisters, Olene, wife of James Jones; Velma, wife of Ernie Banfield; Geraldine, wife of deceased husband, Donald Long; Herman, and wife Carol (Diviny); and Jean, and husband, Spero Tsikalas, all of Ebensburg; Edith, wife of deceased husband, Merle Parish, and Louise, wife of deceased husband, Robert Kline, both of Nicktown; Claire, and wife Betty (Angert), Williamstown, N.J.; Margie, wife of Jack Dinicola, Placentia, Calif.; Nancy, wife of Duane "Sonny" Plummer, Easton, Md.; and Donna, wife of Robert Jones, Cape May Courthouse, N.J. Preceded in death by brother, Duane (U.S. Army Air Corps, 1944), and sister-in-law, Mildred (Noel) Duman (Herman). He is also survived by 14 granddaughters, nine grandsons and two great-grandsons. Served four years in World War II as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps in China and India. Dedicated to his faith and service to Holy Name Catholic Church, where he was a member of Holy Name's Nocturnal Adoration Society. Former longtime proprietor of Duman Appliances, Ebensburg, and employee of RCA Electronics; former president of Ebensburg Businessmen's Association; founding member of Bishop Carroll Athletic Association; Boy Scouts of America leader; and a player for several years in the Cambria County Industrial Baseball League. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where a vigil wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Nicktown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Holy Name Angels Fund, 500 North Julian St., Ebensburg, Pa. 15931 or the St. Vincent College Development Fund, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, Pa. 15650 in Stan's memory.
