McNULTY – Charles A., 84, Nicktown, passed away Dec. 13, 2012, at Altoona Regional Hospital. Born Jan. 9, 1928, in Carrolltown, son of Charles and Lucy (Farabaugh) McNulty. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, John McNulty; and sisters, Dorothy Endler and Elizabeth Supinski. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Shirley (Kirsch) McNulty, whom he married April 26, 1952; children, Sally (James) McCombie, Nicktown; Sandra Schiebergen, Amstelveen, Netherlands; Janice Williamson, Ebensburg; Linda Showalter, Sarasota, Fla.; Dr. Larry (Eleanor) McNulty, Pittsburgh; Paula (Matthew) Thorpe, Pittsburgh; David (Janice) McNulty, Pittsburgh; Dr. Barry (Diana) McNulty, Canton, Ohio; Myron McNulty, Spartansburg, S.C.; and Craig (Jackie) McNulty, State College; grandchildren, Casey, Jenna, Lindsey and James McCombie; Bryan and Shannon Urick; Brett and Roxanne Schiebergen; Jeffrey, Charles, Michael and Evan Williamson; Colin and Corinne Showalter; Catherine, Davis and Nora McNulty; Brenna and McKenzie Thorpe; Rachel McNulty; Connor and Sean McNulty; Sydney, Ryan and Reese McNulty; and great-grandchildren, Chloe and August. Brother of William (Jenny) McNulty, Greencastle; Arnold (Janet) McNulty, Clermont, Fla.; Albert (Dolores) McNulty, Elizabethtown; Donald (Thelma) McNulty, Carrolltown; George (Phyllis) McNulty, Carrolltown; Marie Novella, Northern Cambria; Kathryn Gibson, Medina, Ohio; Frances Hall, North Ridgeville, Ohio; Irma (Edward) Riezinger, Euclid, Ohio; Hilda Baird, Euclid, Ohio; Eileen (Wayne) McMullen, Ebensburg; Lois (Herbert) Farabaugh, Ebensburg; and Rose (Stephen) Klatt, Portage. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Sammi. A World War II Air Force veteran and member of American Legion Post 569 and VFW Post 7503. Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and member of Holy Name Society and Legion of Mary auxiliary. He served the community as a member of Northern Cambria School District board of directors, where he was a past president. Member of Colver Sportsmen’s Club. He was a retired electrician with 35 years of service with Bethlehem Steel. President of J&L Growers. No viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass which will be celebrated at noon Monday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Father Myron Kirsch, OSB, brother-in-law of the deceased, celebrant. Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery. Military honors by local veterans organizations. Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’ memory to Northern Cambria Catholic School.
