Obituary of Catherine Croyle

CROYLE – Catherine (McDermott) 92, of Columbia, PA, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away Jan. 18, 2013 at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia. Born August 26, 1920 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Lamont) McDermott. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas G. Croyle; infant grandsons, Matthew and Paul; brothers, Donald, Desmond and Paul McDermott; sister, Mary Margaret Thomas, and infant sister Marie. Survived by children, Patricia (Stephen) Jasper; Thomas (Cathy) Croyle; Nancy (James) Cesarz; David (Debbie) Croyle; Mark (Anna) Croyle; Brian (Molly) Croyle; Martha (George) McKotch; Catherine (Robert) Bertanzetti; and Jeffrey (Rachel) Croyle. 22 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Patricia Hruska; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, Member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and Ebensburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Holy Name Church from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11a.m. on Wednesday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant.
