ALEXANDER – Donald R. “Buckee”, “Orph”, 84, of Jackson Twp., passed away Feb. 7, 2013. Born May 2, 1928 in Nanty Glo, son of the late James and Edith Alexander. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Jim, Wayne, Bill; and sister, Virginia Murray. Survived by son, Michael and wife Patty Alexander. Grandchildren, Diane and husband Chad; Heather; Brian and wife Amanda. Great Grandchildren, Drew, Chaz, Gianna, Gabrielle and Anna. Also survived by brother, Alfred and wife Alvietta; several nieces and nephews; special friends Catherine and son Andy Molinich;Wayne Stiles;and Tommy Batovich; as well as his loyal companion, Weejoy. Don was a mechanic at Bethlehem Steel for 29 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing; and especially his grandkids. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10a.m.on Tuesday , the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory may be made to Jackson Twp. Fire Company.
