Smith - Verna L. (Francis), 80 of Ebensburg, died August 4, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
Born September 25, 1924 in Colver, daughter of the late Oswald A. and Frances R. (Davis) Francis. Survived by husband, William Daniel Smith, to whom she was married 62 years; and sons: Daniel P., married to the former Mary Wilson, Warren, Ohio; and Kenneth D. , married to the former Gloria Steiner, Ebensburg; and grandchildren: Jason and Todd Smith, Clinton, Ashley and Bradley Smith. A member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. Verna loved to travel and enjoyed crocheting. An avid reader, she loved religious music and playing the organ.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Bethel Assembly Of God Church, the Rev. John Swank, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Verna's memory may be made to her church.
