Obituary of Cordell A. Klisanin

Klisanin - Cordell A. (Murtha), 73, of Ebensburg, died August 4, 2005 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born October 11, 1931 in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Helyn B. (Stahl) Murtha. Survived by children: Thomas J., Ebensburg; William J. , Harrisonburg, Virginia; Susan Klisanin (Brian Wasilewski), Ebensburg; Christopher J., (Kathy Miller), of Portage; and grandsons Jeffrey and Sean Wasilewski. Also survived by brother Thomas J. and wife Ann Murtha, Ebensburg; nieces and nephews: Thomas Murtha Jr., Patricia Raugh, Susan and Timothy Murtha and special friend William Pickering, of Georgia. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, where she had been a volunteer in the parish school library. Retired social worker from the Ebensburg Center. Cordy enjoyed doting over her grandson, playing bridge, and was an avid Penn State fan and member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Name School Angel Fund or the American Cancer Society.
