ROMAGNA - Margaret Margee , 89, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away December 10, 2013 at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. Born July 30, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Tony and Anna (Lascesky) Parks. Preceded in death by husband Peter Paul Romagna, who died in 1983. Survived by son, Tony, married to the former Lori Marsh, Hollidaysburg; two grandsons Matthew August (wife, Stephanie Rhodes) and Michael Anthony (fiance Kayla Nevill) Romagna, and five great-grandchildren: Tyler, Spencer, Zoie, Vinny and Quinn. She was the owner/operator of the former M.R. Bargain Store in Mundy s Corner. In her early years, she had also worked as a Rosie the Riveter for a defense contractor in Ohio, Sylvania in Altoona, and even an explosives plant for a little while. After raising her own son, she was very active in the Foster Grandparent Program, having served that group both at the Ebensburg Center and at a day care located at the Johnstown United Methodist Church. Margee was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg and had also attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg. While living in Ebensburg, she also enjoy membership in the VFW Ladies Auxillary. At her request, there will be no viewing. All are invited to join her family for a Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Committal at church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margee s memory may be made to the Foster Grandparent program of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
