KOSS Esther Marie (Keilman), 95, Ebensburg, died May 14, 2014, at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born Feb. 21, 1919, in Portage, daughter of Arthur J. and Martha J. (Beba) Keilman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Shorty ; infant daughter, Janet Louise; son-in-law, David Nimmo; brothers, Raymond and Wilbert; and sisters, Dorothy Caldwell and Bernice Walk. Survived by children, George A. (Elizabeth), Martin R. (Patricia), Elizabeth A. Nimmo, Stephen R. (Twila) and Esther M. (Paul) Kim; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grand children. Sister of Edna Mae (Keilman) Koss, Revloc. Esther was the beloved mother of three sons and three daughters (one deceased), and also, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Esther was the type of person who made everyone family, friends, neighbors and anyone else who came tagging along feel at home. She enjoyed her crafts, her crocheting and needle working that she always shared with others. No one ever left her house without one of her handmade gifts. She was deeply involved in her church as a Sunday school teacher, Missionette worker, a member of the Women s Ministries and helped prepare and serve meals whenever needed. Esther will be greatly missed by her family. The family wishes to thank all those who helped take care of their mother during her final years at Rebekah Manor. Former member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Committal, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
