FEDORA - John P., 76, of Ebensburg, passed away November 22, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 1, 1938 in Johnstown, son of the late William and Emma Mae (Caldwell) Fedora. Preceded in death by parents, step-mother Ellen Fedora, brother Robert Fedora; sister Jean Kaelin, step-brothers Ab & Larry Brown, and step-sister Beverly Brown. Survived by wife, the former June Monborne, to whom he was married 52 years and children: John, married to the former Cherie Bopp, Ebensburg; Jodi, wife of Joseph Beyer, Portage; grandchildren: Hunter & Gage Fedora; and Joe, Jordan, and Emma Beyer and his faithful dog Rudy . Also survived by brothers William Fedora, Johnstown; Thomas (Debbie) Fedora, Twin Rocks; and sister Peggy (Michael) McGlynn, Vinco; brothers in law, Edward (Barbara) Monborne, Ebensburg and James (Sharon) Monborne, Hollidaysburg; as well as step-brother Eddie Brown, of South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the Ebensburg Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a trustee and deacon board member and was also active with the Ebensburg operations of the Salvation Army. Retired in 2000 as Vice President of Laurel Bank (First National Bank), where he had served for 41 years. An avid golfer and fisherman, he was a member of Immergrun Golf Club, where he enjoyed coordinating the evening league nights. Member and Past Master of Summit Lodge #312 F & A.M., and Past President of the Ebensburg Rotary Club. He was also named Central Cambria High School s Man of the Year in 1983 for his efforts with the wrestling and football boaster s organizations. A US Army veteran, John had served during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960 s. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, the Rev. Laura Blank, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made in John s memory to the Salvation Army, the American Diabetes Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
