Obituary of Robert L. Clawson

CLAWSON Robert L. Sr., 81, Johnstown, died June 11, 2015, at home. Born May 23, 1934, in Belsano, son of the late Robert C. and Lillian P. (Anderson) Clawson. Preceded in death by sisters, Romayne Bassett and LaRue Clawson; and brother, Gene Clawson. Survived by wife, Shirley I. (Johns); children, Shelley Lundborg, married to Robert, California; Nancy Burdette, married to David, Maryland; Gail Ann Spangler, Maryland; Robert Jr., Texas; and Richard, married to Jamie, Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Benjamin Casey, married to Elizabeth; Amanda Harding, married to Matthew; Thomas Peelen, married to Rachel; Luke Lundborg; Joshua and Jake Spangler; Alissa Mosley; and Shauna Cunningham; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Isabel Casey, Tyler and Madeline Harding and Bailey Cunningham; also sister, Marvel Day, married to Robert. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran and enjoyed his job as a truck driver. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church, 2980 William Penn Ave., Pastor Drew Walther, officiating.
