Obituary of Barry J. Petak

PETAK Barry J. Little Buddy , 68, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully July 17, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born June 15, 1947 in Colver, son of the late Walter L. and Elsie L. (Cook) Petak. He is preceded in death by infant twins. Survived by wife, Linda (Guillarmod) Petak, to whom he was married 45 years and daughter, Jennifer L. Petak, at home. Also survived by sister, Roseann (James) Becquet, Ebensburg and brother, Richard (Patricia) Petak, Mineral Point and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Central Cambria High School, Class of 1966 he had also graduated from the Cambria County Barber College, Johnstown. He had been employed for Latrobe Construction and retired from Central Cambria School District where he had worked in maintenance. He was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. At Barry s request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Monsignor David Lockard, celebrant. Private entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barry s memory may be made to the Holy Name School Angel Fund, 500 N. Julian St., Ebensburg, Pa. 15931. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
