AITKEN – Mildred F., 100, resident of St. Benedict Manor, passed away June 12, 2017 at the Manor. Born Oct. 29, 1916 in Windber, daughter of the late Harve and Sadie (Wissinger) Faust. Preceded in death by husband, John Samuel Lambie Aitken; granddaughter, Paula Ponchione; and sister, Gladys Sherlock. Survived by daughters, Jane (Paul) Ponchione and Dottie (Greg) Headrick. Grandchildren, Brett (Dani) Ponchione, Brian Ponchione, Joseph (Kathy) Ponchione, Cristin (Tim) Caroff, Amy Hurst and Melanie Johnson. 11 Great Grandchildren and a Great Great Grandchild on the way. Also survived by her second family, the staff of St. Benedict Manor. A special thanks to 365 Hospice. Member of Colver Presbyterian Church. There will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a gathering from noon until time of Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Colver Presbyterian Church, Rev. Paul Gerycz, officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Millies memory may be made to Colver Presbyterian Church or Colver Vol. Fire Company. Arrangements are in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
