HELLER – Glenn D., 84 of Ebensburg, passed away June 27, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 25, 1932 in Adams Twp., son of the late Norman Earl and Alice Viola (Noon) Heller. Preceded in death by his only son Kurtis J. Heller; brothers, Earl, Frank, Ira, Ralph, George, Norman, & Jack; and sisters, Margaret, Mabel, Alice June and Betty Louise. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Evans, to whom he was married 66 years; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Peters, of Nanty Glo, brother-in-law, Edward Rusnak, Adams Twp., and numerous nieces and nephews. A longtime member of the First Christian Church in Ebensburg. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and doing genealogy. Army veteran of the Korean War era. He was retired from R & P Coal Company where he served as a Face Foreman. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg and from noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, the Rev. Dwayne Kaufman, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.
