Dahlin – Carl J., “Peaches”, 90, of Emporium formerly of Revloc and a resident of Pinecrest Manor, St. Mary’s, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Peaches was born July 13, 1927 in Revloc, son of the late Algot and Robina (Oakley) Dahlin. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane “BJ” and his stepson Barry Lee Miller. Survived by his daughters Carla (Paul) Lloyd of New Oxford and Connie (Brian) Shedlock of Toms River NJ; four grandchildren Nathan and Nicholas Shedlock, Bradley and Katie Lloyd, and a sister, Connie (Cy), wife of Walter Sutilla of Ebensburg. Peaches was a Navy veteran, he was employed as a draftsman by Pennsylvania Electric Company in Johnstown. Member of the VFW, American Legion, and MOOSE, he was also a member of the Scottish Rite, a Free and Accepted Mason of Summit Lodge No.312, and a Shriner. A lifelong hunter and fisherman, he loved nature and the outdoors. He was a kind, gentle, and quiet soul who loved his family and friends and most of all his wife. He enjoyed his time spent with his uncles and cousins as Wegotta Hunting Camp in Emporium. At his request there will be no viewing, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.
