Obituary of Mary Ann Straw

STRAW – Mary Ann (Toth), 84, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully December 18, 2017 at Cambria Care Center. Born March 18, 1933 in Hastings, daughter of the late John S. & Eva (Zumoutica) Toth. Preceded in death by son, Rande Straw, who passed away March 4, 2014; and brothers John S. Jr. and David Toth. She is survived by her loving husband, George Edward Straw, to whom she was married 64 years and her trusted dog “Ginger”. Also survived by sisters, Theresa, Stephanie and Margaret “Dee Dee”, all of Ohio; brothers-in-law D. Wayne (Betty) Straw, Florida and Kenneth W. (Betty) Straw, of Ebensburg and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann had worked for the Cambria County Child Development Agency and enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner with her husband. She was a longtime member of the Ebensburg First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, Rev. Dwayne Kaufman, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ann's memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society
