HAGENS - Darice “Dee Dee” (Lanzendorfer) , 66, of Revloc, passed away January 23, 2018, at Windber Hospice after a lengthy illness. She was born October 25, 1951, beloved middle daughter of Wilfred and Julia Lanzendorfer. Darice was a 1969 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and attended Cambria Rowe Business College. Preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Joy Lynn Nagle, and Kerry Ann Hagens; and son-in-law, William “Butchie” Nagle, Jr. Survived by beloved husband, Edmond B. Hagens, Sr., to whom she was married 46 years; daughter, Jessie Romagna, and husband Chad; and son, Edmond B. Hagens, Jr. Dee Dee had a special relationship as grandmother to Lakin Knotts, Dylan Nagle, Vada and Coby Romagna and Blake Hagens. She was also devoted to her great grandsons, Owen and Kylan Knotts. She was a beloved sister of Carol Cooney, Johnstown, and Patricia Sheesley, Twin Rocks. Dee Dee is survived by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She cherished her role as homemaker and enjoyed family time most of all, especially camping and pontoon boating at Prince Gallitzen State Park. Dee Dee was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Dee Dee also loved gardening and the companionship of her fur-baby, Zeus. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 24, and from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, January 25, at Askew-Houser Funeral Home, 300 N. Julian Street, Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held on Thursday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Holy Name Church, Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Windber Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during her illness. Dee Dee was a kind, generous, selfless person who was willing to help anyone in any way she could. We love you, miss you, and will always carry your memory in our hearts. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.
