SMITH – Theresa A., 76, of Colver, passed away May 20, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 7, 1942 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Paul and Prudence (Roberts) Dixon. She was preceded in death by 14 siblings. Survived by children: Jonathan Smith; Timothy (Mary Beth) Smith; Kevin Smith; and Mary Smith-Nipps; grandchildren: Erica Smith; Timothy (Courtney) and Hannah Smith; and Briann and Bryant Nipps. Also survived by her husband John J. Smith, sisters: Esther (Mike) Buzminsky; and Ruth (James) Fresh as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone enjoyed her big smile, her kind soul and generous heart. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and they were the apple of her eye and are her legacy. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Vicki Buzminsky, (Theresa’s niece) , officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. A special thank you to all the caregivers at Cambria Care Center and to Memorial Medical Center’s Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Alice Paul House, Indiana, Pa.
