STILES – Marion “Mary”. 81, of Belsano, passed away May 26, 2018 at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana. Born January 6, 1937 in Boltz, Pa., daughter of the late Simon and Ann. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by 13 siblings. Survived by children: Donna Graham, Homer City; Rick (Delores) Stiles, Shelocta, Pa; Tom Stiles, Ebensburg; Bob (Cathy) Stiles, Strongstown; Nancy (Mike) Stiles, Belsano; Connie (Dan) Chisholm, Chambersburg; and Kathy (Heath) Woods, Belsano; 11 grandchildren, 2 “fur” grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mary was an excellent cook and served as an instructor for the Wilton Cake Decorating Company. She was known for her talent in creating beautiful cakes and candies. Over the years, she had worked at Shop N Save in Indiana, Penn Gables Restaurant, Noon Collins Inn, both of Ebensburg and the former Triangle Restaurant, in Belsano. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was a member of the Nanty Glo Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where she served in the Woman’s Group, and assisted in the church kitchen for funerals and church events. She also assisted the Cambria County Elections, by serving as a poll worker in Blacklick Twp for many years. Special thanks are extended to Mary’s caregivers, her great niece Brianna Henrickson, and her friend Cathy Skunda. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Pastor Bud Vogel, officiating. Interment at Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to her church.
