Obituary of Gema Bickford

BICKFORD – Gema (Daldoss), 90, of Ebensburg, passed away June 7, 2018 in Ebensburg. Born November 12, 1927 in Indiana County, daughter of the late Antonio & Camilla (Baroldi) Daldoss. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by her husband Bud Bickford (1999) and sons: Peter Bickford (1976) and Patrick Bickford (2016). She is survived by her daughters: Jan (Germaine) Hite, Loretto and Joy Carnicella, Altoona, along with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A devote Roman Catholic, she loved her church and her faith. She was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church in Ebensburg. She will be long remembered for her bread baking, needlecraft and crocheting. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m., at Holy Name Church Narthex until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, the Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Loretto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association or to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
