TERNDRUP Verda Ruth (Harrison), 86, Ebensburg, Sept. 14, 2018, at Windber Hospice. Born Feb. 20, 1932, on Benshoff Hill, PA; daughter of late Russell Harrison and Ruth (Bassett) Harrison. Preceded in death by husband Herbert; infant grandchildren Evan Terndrup and Genevieve Pierru; sisters Rhoda, Phyllis, Neva, and brothers James and Oden. Survived by sister Lois and brothers Jack, Allan, Lyn, and Arthur, and these children: Brian, married to Terri Kelly, Johnstown; Thomas, married to Emma George, Nashville, TN; Rhonda Ostis, married to Damon Ostis, Davidsonville, MD; Howard, married to Leigh Ann Templeton, Ebensburg; and Tara Pierru, married to Julien Pierru, Davidsonville, MD; 10 grandchildren: Kelly Taylor, Seth Terndrup, Megan Terndrup, Trevor Terndrup, Christopher Terndrup, Alison Terndrup, Nikolas Ostis, Jack Terndrup, Linnea Pierru, and Anders Pierru, and 4 great-grandchildren: Joey Taylor, James Terndrup, Henry Terndrup, and Noah Taylor. Beloved member of the Ebensburg United Methodist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her friends. Love was the special ingredient in her cooking, baking, and everything she did. Her sweet smile and unconditional love will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ebensburg United Methodist Church, Pastor JR Virgin officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Verdas memory may be made to the Ebensburg United Methodist Church.
