SAJKO – Charles John “Babe”, 78, of Altoona, formerly of Jackson Twp., passed away Dec. 19, 2018 at home. Born Dec. 18, 1940 in Johnstown, son of the late John and Tressia (Corl) Sajko. Preceded in death by daughter, Sherry Ann Sajko; brothers, Robert, Larry and Richard; and ex-wife, Frances J. Sajko. Survived by daughters, Kimberly Torina; and Heidi Benson. Grandchildren, Amy Jane Spaulding, David Charles Foust, Brock, Travis and Brandon Benson. Great Grandchildren, Tristin, Easton, Dawson, Wyatt and Braeley. Brother of Beverly (Bud) Noel, Gary (Alby) Sajko, Donald Sajko, Tressia Molinik, John (Linda) Sajko and Peggy Yanosky; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles loved hunting with his brothers and friends, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his “best buddy’, his great grandson, Easton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor Kathy Colebank, officiating. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale Veterans Ritual Team.
