Obituary of Janice Dishart

DISHART - Janice (Miller) 63, of Ebensburg passed away December 27th, 2018 at Miner’s Hospital, Hastings. Born January 18, 1955 in Spangler, daughter of the late John O. “Tiny” and Margaret “Peg” (O’Rourke) Miller. Preceded in death by brothers: John “Tank” and Jim Miller, and father-in-law and mother-in-law C. Earl and Erma Dishart. Survived by husband, Michael Dishart, to whom she was married 40 years, daughter Jolene, Mundy’s Corner and son Earl John, at home. Also survived by brother, Joe Miller, Hastings; sister, Ann Westrick, Hastings; brother-in-law, Brian Dishart, Moccasin, CA; special cousin, Kathy O’Rourke, and numerous nephews. Janice was a secretary for the Cambria Heights School District for 45 years. She was raised in Hastings and raised her own family in Ebensburg. At her request there will be no viewing. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Hastings, the Rev. Thaddeus Rettger OSB, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Janice's family to benefit the Janice M. Dishart Memorial Scholarship Fund which will serve a Cambria Height’s High School student. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
