Kovach - Emma M. (Paul), 89, formerly of Mundys Corner, died July 22, 2005 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born October 23, 1915 in Bakerton, daughter of the late John Paul and Mary Paul-Bartok. Preceded in death by husband Frank, son Charles, sisters: Theresa Dorony, Vera Oblywaniuk, Mary Sabo, and Anne Molnar; and brothers Joseph, John and George Paul. Survived by children: Mary (Porter) Britton, Dolores (Calvin) Taylor, Frank Kovach, Diane Strickland, James Kovach, Christine (Ron) Schirato, and Carol (Ken) Rummel; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Sister of Pauline Olsavsky, John Bartok and Paul Bartok. Lifelong member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, where she had been active as an Auxillary member of the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her children and grandchildren. Emma was always willing and enjoyed helping others, she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service and rosary will be held. Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, the Rev. Fr. Paul Robine, celebrant. Committal at St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Contributions in in Emma's memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
