WILLIAMSON – James Robert “Chum”, 69, of East Palatka, Florida, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away September 1, 2019 at home in Florida. Born May 31, 1950 in Johnstown, son of Glenn M. and Sara (Haney) Williamson. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Charles & Edna Williamson; and maternal grandparents Bernard & Pearl Haney; father, Glenn M. Williamson; and niece Heather Williamson. Survived by mother: Sara Williamson, of Ebensburg; wife, Debra Diane (Dryzal) Williamson, to whom he was together for 35 years; and children: James (Heidi) Williamson; Jennifer (Troy) Sheets; and Dori Williamson and grandchildren: Zach, Rachel, Olivia and Jett. Also survived by stepdaughter: Michelle (Ryan) O’Conner; step-sons: Adam Sassano and James (Katelyn) Sassano; and step-grandchildren: Breann, Katie, & Declan O’Conner; and Maddie & Elizabeth Sassano; Jim was brother to: Donald “Ivy” Williamson, Jack Williamson; Tim (Sandy) Williamson; and Ashley (Angela) Dziabo. He was owner of Chums Inc. Auctioneers and had been a longtime auctioneer in Pennsylvania and co-owner with his family of Central Cambria Drilling Company. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Monday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mundy’s Corner. Pastor Kevin McNamara, officiating. Interment at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jim’s memory.
