Stormer - William C. "Clair" "Kay", 84, of Ebensburg, died December 8, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center - Main Campus. Born June 21, 1921 in Cambria Twp., Pa., son of the late William H. and Myrtle (Bumford) Stormer. Preceded in death by brothers Lavern, Cecil, John, Gerald and Robert Donald and sister Mildred. Survived by wife, Ruth (Evans) Stormer, to whom he was married 49 years and children: Wendy and husband Martin Rager, State College; Anne and husband Peter Putyrski, Davidsville; Douglas and wife Beth (Knauss), Hamburg, New York; and Eric Stormer, Apopka, Florida. Also survived by seven grandchildren; brother, Ray T. Stormer, of Sidman and sister, Anna Cleofa "Dolly" Wood, of Canton, Ohio. Bill was a graduate of the Indiana State University where he attained his Bachelor's Degree, and graduated with his Masters Degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Retired in 1981 with thirty years of service as a business teacher at Central Cambria High School. Member of Ebensburg United Church of Christ and attended the Ebensburg First Christian Church. A World War II Navy veteran, Bill had served in the South Pacific. Life member of the Ebensburg VFW and American Legion. Friends will be received from 2 -4 & 7-9 pm Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, and from 10:00 a.m., until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Ebensburg First United Church of Christ, the Rev. William C. Thwing and Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
