Obituary of William D. Defrehn

DEFREHN - William D. "Bill," 50, of Johnstown, passed away Dec. 9, 2005, at home. Born May 27, 1955, in Johnstown, son of the late Edward and Mary Ellen (Campbell) Defrehn. Survived by his loving wife, Rae Taylor, with whom he shared 16 years, and son, Kyle Defrehn, who was his best buddy and light of his life. Brother of Yvonne, married to Charles Holsinger, of Davidsville, and their son, Dr. David Holsinger, married to Kimberly, of Ebensburg, and their children, Daniel, Bryan, Scott and Matthew; Richard Defrehn, and his daughter, Diane Defrehn, both of Ebensburg; and Barbara, married to Gary Schulte, of Muscatine, Iowa, and their sons, Michael and Steven. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Jencine, married to Tim Campagna, and Tammy, married to Dallen Selders; brothers-in-law, David and Dan Taylor; mother-in-law, Marion Taylor, all of Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Franklin Street United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Profession Ski Instructors of America. He was an avid skier. He enjoyed golfing, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends will be received Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at Franklin Street United Methodist Church, the Rev. Tom Verner.
