JANICSKO - William D., 83, Vintondale, died Dec. 28, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center, Downtown Campus. Born Jan. 30, 1922, in Johnstown, son of Stephen and Emma (Filicky) Janicsko. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Stephen, Anthony, Rudolph, Edward, Francis and Albert; and sisters, Cecilia Antolik and Margaret and Eva Janicsko. Survived by wife of 61 years, Anna Marie (Turek) Janicsko, of Vintondale; and children, William J., married to the former Linda Shearer, of Harrisburg; and August J., married to the former Georgette Bracken, of Vintondale. Also survived by grandchildren, Susan Comp; Carol Smiley; William S., Daniel J. and Yvonne L. Courson; and Jennifer Janicsko; and nine great-grandchildren. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus 954 All Saints Assembly and Council 4604 K of C and the VFW Post 155, who will perform military honors at the cemetery. Also a member of Holy Family Church in Seward, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. John Wilt. Committal, Armagh Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday and where the Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary Sunday evening.
