MIELNIK - Glenna (Evans), 78, of Ebensburg, passed away, Aug. 4, 2006, at home. Born Jan. 22, 1928, in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Russell and Erma Evans. Preceded in death by two great-grandsons and sisters, Audrey Yanssens and Wanda Ludwig. Survived by husband of 45 years, Joseph S. Mielnik; daughter, Teresa (Mielnik) Little, of Ebensburg; son, David, and wife, Lisa (Stiles) Mielnik, of Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter Also survived by nieces, Linda Walls of Portage and Doreen Hall of Kentucky. Member of Ebensburg First Christian Church. Retired teacher from Conemaugh Valley High School and also had taught at Central Cambria, Penn Cambria and Bishop Carroll high schools. Member of NEA and PSEA. Memorial service will be held at noon Friday at Ebensburg First Christian Church, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenna's memory may be made to Windber Hospice. Arrangements by Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg.
