Obituary of Donald Wayne Yahnert

YAHNERT - Donald Wayne Sr., 75, Nanty Glo, died Aug. 12, 2006, at his daughter, Sandy's, residence. Born May 22, 1931, in Ebensburg, son of the late William and Viola (Rager) Yahnert. Preceded in death by first wife, Rose (Weimer) Yahnert; second wife, Mary (Wentz) Yahnert; and 12 brothers and sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving children, Donald Yahnert Jr., and wife, Leona; Daniel Yahnert, and wife, Chris; Robert Yahnert, and wife, Crystal; Cindy Wagner; Sandy Evans, and husband, William; Duane Wentz, and wife, Rhonda; Dave Wentz; Billy Wentz; Sue, and husband, Jack; and Mary Jo Lowmaster, and husband, Tim; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; friend and companion, Marion Evans. Member of the First Christian Church, Ebensburg, and the UMWA Local 1368, Ebensburg. Retired from the Bethlehem Coal Mines. Army veteran, served in the Korean War. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services are 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Frank Brosius officiating. Interment to follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Military services will be conducted by the local veterans organizations Tuesday at the church.
