Obituary of Grace H. Mitchell

MITCHELL - Grace H., entered into rest at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, in Ravenna, Ohio, with her family by her side. Grace was born on April 9, 1927, in Belsano, Pa., the daughter of Howard and Ethel (Boring) Patrick. John Mitchell Jr. and Grace Patrick were united in marriage on Dec. 13, 1950, in Johnstown. In 1951, John and Grace relocated from Twin Rocks, Pa., to Windham, Ohio. During their marriage they were blessed with three sons and two daughters. Grace was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Family and friends will always remember her endearing smile. Cherished memories will be carried on by her caring daughters, Linda (Dennis) Allen of Glendale, Calif., and Barbara Mitchell of Windham, Ohio; sons, Thomas Mitchell of Nelsonville, Ohio; Donnie (Michelle) Mitchell of Garrettsville, Ohio; and John (Susan) Mitchell of Newton Falls, Ohio; adored grandchildren, Tracy, John Viebranze, Jodi, Bobbi, Jayme and Donnie Lopez, John Mitchell, Billy, Tara, Nichole, Donnie Mitchell and Julie; beloved great-grandchildren, Nathan, Chelsea, Brenden, Nathaniel, Carson, Riley, Alexis, Makayliegh, Aubrianna, Nevaeh, Victoria, Evan, Billy and Destiny. Preceding were her husband, John, on Sept. 22, 1969; sisters, Erma Kelly, Rhoda Yeager, Edith Kopsic and Gay Wayt; and brothers, Wayne and Melvin Patrick. The family received friends on Friday at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio. The family also will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home in Nanty Glo, Pa., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, the Rev. Arlene Bobrowicz officiating. Grace will be laid to rest next to her husband in the McDowell Cemetery in Cherry Tree.
