Obituary of Alex Reba

REBA - Alex, 86, Twin Rocks, died Sept. 15, 2006, at his home. Born July 29, 1920, in Twin Rocks, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Berzansky) Reba and stepfather, Walter Friday. Preceded in death by wife, Mary, and brothers, John, Nick "Pasty," Steve "Stushy," George and Mike. Surviving are children, Robert, and wife, Edna Carney, Nanty Glo, and Charlotte Barzdo, and husband, Arthur, Twin Rocks; grandchildren, Christopher Reba, and wife, Pam; Cherie; Brandee; Amanda Kozlovac, and husband, Don; and Allison; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Terick, Josh, Emmalie, Issiah, Devin, Jackson, Spencer, Adasyn and Darrian; and brothers and sisters, Frank Friday, and wife, Edna, Salisbury, Md.; Walter Friday, and wife, Shirley, Homer City; Ann, Lancaster; Mary, Shelocta; Helen, Ebensburg; and Katherine Makosky, and husband, Joe, Portage. Retired from Bethlehem coal mines. World War II Navy veteran. Member of SS. Timothy -- Mark Church, Twin Rocks; VFW Post 7605, Twin Rocks; and the American Legion Post 619, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a Liturgical Wake will be held Sunday evening. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Timothy & Mark Church, with Father James H. Conrad, STL, celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
