KUHAR - Francis J. "Frank," 77, Vintondale, died Oct. 4, 2006. Born Sept. 14, 1929, in Vintondale, son of the late John and Annie (Butla) Kuhar. Preceded in death by son, Doug; brothers, Charles, John and Joe Kuhar and Bruce Butla; and sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Lazich, Vintondale; children, Laurie Kuhar, Virginia Beach, Va.; Frank, and wife, Cindy; and Mary Malloy, and husband, Mike, all of Vintondale; Ralph, Strongstown; and Theresa McCloskey, and husband, Paul, Homer City; grandchildren, Mandy, Matthew, Jimmy, Joey, Michelle, Johnny, Jessica, Nicole, Steven and Mark; sister, Dorothy Verba, Vintondale; and family friends, Mark and Austin Donaldson. Member of SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Vintondale. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Vintondale VFW, Post 5211. Frank loved to fish and play music with his brothers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Father Grigori Tsjouman, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. Military rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
