ONDRIEZEK - John "Mike," 81, Nanty Glo, died Nov. 2, 2006, at home. Born Aug. 12, 1925, in Nanty Glo, son of the late George and Elizabeth (Jailet) Ondriezek. Preceded in death by daughter, Michelle, and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by wife, the former Naomi Smith, Nanty Glo; children, William, and wife, Linda, Vinco; Phyllis Trude, and husband, Russell, Morrisdale; grandchildren, Carol, Billy, Greg, Karla and Tressa; four great-grandsons; and brother, Rich Ondriezek, and wife, Melda, Nanty Glo. A member of Nanty Glo United Methodist Church. Retired coal miner and toy maker for Pap Pap Woodshop. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Member of UMWA Local 1386, Nanty Glo, American Legion Post 363, Ebensburg, Disabled American Veterans and Pennsylvania Craftsmen's Guild. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. John Snyder and the Rev. Robert Hinkle, officiating. Interment, Pineland Cemetery.
