LANZENDORFER - Dawn E. "Jitter," Twin Rocks, died Nov. 10, 2006, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 23, 1936, in Twin Rocks, the son of George W. and Edna (Moyer) Lanzendorfer. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Wilfred, Francis, Robert, Paul and George. Survived by wife of 43 years, Elaine (Spongross); daughter, Leigh Ann, at home; and son, Quinn, Lexington Park, Md. Also survived by sisters, Althea (Stanley) Zeglen; Margaret (Alex) Hancherick; and brothers, Tom (Mary Ann); Richard (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Julia, Agnes and Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, Boomer. A member of SS. Timothy and Mark Church. He was a graduate of Blacklick Township High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Dawn retired from Lanzendorfer Trucking Inc. Dawn, a man of great pride and devotion, was a wonderful and loving husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where liturgical wake service will be held. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Timothy and Mark Church, Twin Rocks. Committal, St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks, where veterans service will be held.
